From a Reader who escaped from the West

From a Reader who escaped from the West

Hello Dr. Roberts –

In your recent essay, “The Looting of Medicare” you asked for comment from”older readers”. I read your essays every day.

My age is 79. So, I’m an “older reader”

More than 20 years ago, it was easy to see this nonsense on the horizon.

I’m sure easy for you to see, too.

Not with perfect clarity, but enough to know that a big storm was coming, very, very big.

There was no “fixing” the problems, that aspect was clear.  As for myself,  I ran away as fast and as far as I could.  Got out of the USA and moved to the other side of the world, to Thailand, where I am now.

Over here, I never get anything from Medicare. If they do send anything, I’ll just ignore it.

In my view, you are certainly not wasting your time writing as you do.

I find your thinking and your analysis highly valuable.

But two facts stand out:

#1 – There are so few other men writing as you do.

Makes your thinking even more valuable for being so scarce.

#2 – Why, sir, are you still “there”?

Certainly you could escape, but you are still inside the “fence”.

Wouldn’t you enjoy your remaining years more if you were far away?

Finally, as I read your essays, I often wonder

what will happen to you, if “they” “cancel” you?

Where else is there a voice of reason like yours?

I wish you’d consider an email list, that was quiet and private and difficult to cancel.

Perhaps right here on Proton mail.

I’d gladly pay for a subscription for that.

Very best regards,
