What everyone overlooks is that by announcing Russian sanctions, the European Union is using the orchestrated crisis to legislate for the member governments. Germany, France, and the rest are losing control over their own foreign policies. In other words, sovereignty of countries is being transferred to an unaccountable bureaucracy. The precedents being established under cover of “the Ukraine crisis” are destroying the freedom and independence of European countries.
