The Russian/Chinese/Iranian Axis Emerges as the Great Power
The collapse of the Soviet Union in 1991 and the transformation of China from an ideological regime to managed capitalism presented Washington with the opportunity to lead a free world. But the neoconservatives who seized control of US foreign policy blew the opportunity, creating instead three enemies for the United States who are now united. American hegemony has come to an end, and American power is declining. Can the neoconservatives accept this or will their hubris produce war in an unsuccessful and foolish effort to preserve US hegemony?
