The problem seems to be that blacks won’t convict blacks, so mixed juries have become dysfunctional. This is a consequence of Identity Politics and the belief inculcated in blacks that whites are racists who frame innocent blacks, which no doubt happens at times. Black jurors who convict even guilty blacks can’t return to their neighborhoods without suffering recrimination.
Identity Politics is not compatible with Justice. A Tower of Babel is not a society.
